There are plenty of real dangers in Scientology(tm) to be exposed and dealt with. The Fair Game Law, misuse of the judicial system and abusive litigation, intimidation and interference with witnesses, submitting false testimony in courts, intimidation of staff, customers and critics, their "disconnection" policy, infiltration of govt and law enforcement offices and agencies and the questionable cloud of secrecy surrounding their "tax exempt status" head the list of their sub rosa activities. >> I have yet to see any evidence that there are *any* "OT" powers [...] >> > I have seen quite a bit from Hubbard where he *insinuates* that mighty >powers are available to the Scientologist. Where does the 'intentionbeams' come in? What >level? What is the exact promises made? Or is it just more insinuations? I don't think there were any of those claims in the materials. Some fringe Scienos used to like to chatter about that sort of thing and I'm sure there were/are "registrars" (Scieno salesmen) who promised or insinuated as much, both then and now. Plus there were the infamous "Success Stories" in the "Advance" magazine. When David Ziff was the editor of that mag, I asked him once who these people were that he was publishing. He told me he wrote them all himself. (Of course, Ziff isn't there anymore and, like the GO -> OSA reorganization, they "don't do that anymore," either.) >Exteriorization is said to be easily attainable at fairly low levels >of Scientology, but Hubbard's language is actually amazingly slippery. >He insinuates everything, says nothing definitively. He did say that and promised exteriorization on L12 --it is on the Flag promo. A "CMO invest" was done on me for writing to him to protest it. Frankly though, I think I have seen or heard more about "OT powers" since leaving the cult, here on a.r.s and earlier, from the Billies, than when I was in the cult. I startled a heard of Billies into outraged stampede in 1987 when, during a lecture I gave at the European "OT Convention," I stated that when I was auditing LRH he had not exteriorized and was still trying to do so. That was the last Freezone event I was invited to. (Incidentally, Bob Mithoff recorded that lecture and may be able to supply the cassette. :) ) > >Pope Charles >SubGenius Pope Of Houston >Slack! > David Mayo -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: 2.6.2 iQCVAwUBMYgJdemCyCdNXuVZAQHoIQP7BbgR9OTWFpqPITvUlu8/Jt5p3bDof+R1 ZteQM9QgrMluR77oFqMuTT2UhyFhbSbThEvY5RzvpL8PtB1JbdH7LrEFNFlWe4GP Hjdaon7LmRclGX0IoMpscaPioCZTXgJ4XFZqyHg3at+U/XOMaohImvtmyviGUPJB 02Gf4AVQdFs= =Fpza -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
